Getting To Know Us |
How to Find Us |
| In June of 1983 with the assistance of his
mother and father, John K Cherry III opened Project Bike Shop, a full service
retail/service shop. Over the years, the growth of Project Bike can be attributed
to John's reputation for knowledge of his products and the quality of his service.
Early in 1990, John began to develop Cherry Bicycles, a custom frame building company. For 20+ years, Project Bike Shop was a family owned and operated shop, the only shop in the area that specialized in bicycles and nothing else. And we're known all across the USA . . . for the bikes that are designed and built right here in our shop . . . Cherry Bicycles . Now, a nationally known frame builder, John Cherry III can be found daily in his machine shop designing and building bicycles for customers all across the USA and a number of foreign countries. Early in 2004, the retail store on Main Street in Lafayette was closed, and John moved his machine shop and bicycle business to a new location, near the new Prophetstown State Park, and on a popular biking route.
